The Norman Island

The British Virgin Islands are a chain of many small and large islands scattered across one of the most beautiful waters in the world. Of those Islands, included the Norman Island. It is said to be named after a pirate who purchased it in the 18th century, and is also reputed to be the inspiration for the novel Treasure Island, and is even believed to have pirate treasure hidden on the island! Imagine going on a beautiful sailing vacation among a 51’ vessel named the “Mañana Maybe,” and stopping on a pirate-booty island! Most people had that dream as a kid, but now you can actually go!
Along with your vacation to the 600-acre, 2.5 mile long island, you should make sure to ask your Captain, Mr. Terry Clark, to take you to The Bight. The Bight is a bay off of Norman Island, which is famous for the three caves located within. These three caves are known for their beautiful snorkeling sights and their incredible darkness deep in the cave. After a nice snorkeling adventure, if you’re let down about not finding the treasure, take a swim over to Pirate’s Bar, Norman Island’s most famous bar. With entertainment and “pain-killers,” the bar’s famous drink, you can enjoy the rest of your night on Norman Island effortlessly. End your night with a beautiful sunset, and then on to the next incredible vacation day!
Booking your trip with Captain Terry to the Norman Island is very easy. Just log on to our homepage and see all necessary information to build your perfect vacation! Contact your captain immediately via email or telephone and get out on the water!
